The company provides advanced friction stir welding (FSW) solutions to global customers across the shipbuilding, aerospace, aviation, railway and electric vehicle industries, helping to improve both quality and productivity.

Leadership & Expertise

The core founder holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Tsinghua University, and subsequently earned a PhD from Imperial College London. He spent over 12 years at TWI—the birthplace of friction stir welding—where he led innovation and engineering in this field. During this time, he achieved multiple technical breakthroughs and made significant contributions to the advancement of FSW technology.

Innovative Equipment

LSAMT has developed a portable FSW crawler capable of welding aluminium components of virtually any size, without the limitations of traditional equipment. This compact and mobile solution replaces conventional moving gantry machines, enabling more flexible, cost-effective, and intelligent welding processes for large-scale structures across multiple industries.

Advanced Welding Technologies

LSAMT offers wire filling friction stir welding technology (or AdStir) to address gap-related challenges in the welding of large-scale components, ensuring weld integrity and performance.
